COMPANY CONFORMANCE STATEMENTS

  1. GENERAL FUNCTION

 Support Production with any maintenance, tooling, or engineering issues along with launching of new projects.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Manage and coordinate activities of Engineering Department staff.  This includes pre-production Engineering, Production Engineering, Maintenance groups and Tooling groups.
    • Oversee the modifications, improvements, and maintenance of existing products and processes within the company.
    • Establishes schedules and project parameters within the Pre-Production department to accomplish the objectives of the company.
    • Communicates with management and production departments to determine engineering feasibility.
    • Responsible to determine cost effectiveness of department activities.
    • Forecasts operations costs within department.
    • Prepares annual budget requests.
    • Responsible for staff development.
    • Responsible for development of the department using tools and standards to improve standardization within the company.
    • Miscellaneous duties and necessary.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
    • 5 years Engineering experience required.
    • 5 years Supervisor/management experience required.
    • 3 years minimum automotive industry experience required.
    • Plastic Injection experience preferred.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Computer knowledge required (MS Office _Word, Excel, etc)
    • Must be able to pass:  Math, Graphic, Thurstone, and Mechanical tests.
    • Understanding of Automobile Manufacturer’s Design and/or Quality Requirements.
    • Must have strong program or project management skills and/or abilities.
  • PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
    • Must be able to stand/walk greater than 50% in an 8 hour day.
    • Must be able to perform finger and hand dexterity 40% in an 8 hour day.
    • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
    • Must be able to wear safety shoes.
